Jim O'Neil:
- ·Environmental Systems Consultant, involved in projects throughout
the State of Alaska and the Russian Far East, including extensive work in
rural areas.
- ·Utilized by Tanana Valley Community College, N.W. Community College
and by the University of Alaska to teach Water and Wastewater related subjects.
- ·As an independent contractor, develops and presents courses of
instruction, in Utility Operation, Management and Safety. Often works in
cross-cultural situations and with trainees for whom English is a second
language.
- ·Been involved in numerous projects with the Corps of Engineers,
University of Alaska Researchers, and contracted scientists.
- ·Utilities experience includes water systems operation and management,
wastewater systems operation and management, power plant operation and well
drilling. Knowledgeable and skilled in all laboratory analyses required
in the utilities field.
- ·Certified by examination as a Class IV Operator in both Water
and Wastewater Systems.
- ·Past-director from Alaska to the Water Environment Federation.
- ·Past-chairman of the State of Alaska Water and Wastewater Works
Advisory Board.
- ·Member and Past-President of the Alaska Water Management Association.
Chaired AWMA's Small Systems Committee.
- Member of the American Water Works Association and sat on the Water
Re-use Committee. Past-Chairman of the AWWA Alaska section.
- ·Member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
