My Life:

The past is the past, today is today.  I don't want to bore anyone with my past as it hasn't been a happy one, with failed marriages, etc.  At age 63, I am now very happy.

I met my husband Tom in the summer of 2001.  We both felt that someone had a hand in our meeting.  With my sister's help, we were married in Reno, Nevada on Labor Day in 2001.

We made our home in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon until August of 2004 when I retired from Weyerhaeuser after 20 years.  We then moved to La Pine, Oregon.

We both love the mountains and the clean fresh air here.  The sky is a dark blue in the high dessert on a clear day.  We have Ponderosa Pine, Jack Pine, and Juniper trees all around us.  The elevation in La Pine is 4300 feet.  It took me a while to adjust from going from the 500 feet of the Willamette Valley to the high dessert.  The summers are hot and the winters are cold.  So far, we have seen 100 deg. and minus 1 deg.  We have heard that it has been 40 below in past years.

My oldest son, Mel, and his wife, Wendy, live in Eugene, Oregon and have 4 children between them.  Ages are 16, 15, 9 and 18 months.

My other son, Mike, and his wife, RoseAnn, live in Thousand Oaks, California (just moved there from back east).  They have a son John, age 13, and a daughter, Anna, 16.

Tom has 2 sons and 3 grandchildren.

We love to explore Eastern Oregon and enjoy doing what we want, when we want in our retirement years.

My favorite thing is to head for Reno or Las Vegas with my sis...we have such a good time
