Job Experience
As a fourth generation Alaskan with both adult children and a grandchild living in West Anchorage, I am dedicated to our community and our state. I’ve worked with you to build a better community. Some of you may remember me from Turnagain Elementary where together we built a vibrant community school program. Or from West High where we strived to foster the best environment for our kids and worked together to support each other as parents. Raised in a military family and married to a military man, we’ve served across the country but West Anchorage has always been my home. You’ve been my neighbors and my friends – I’d be honored to serve you in the State Legislature.
My priorities are:
- The Economy: Encouraging investment is key to a strong economy and jobs are the bedrock of a healthy family. My current job is training Alaskans for better paying jobs. I understand the needs of working families, and see the struggle Alaskans face in our changing economy.
- Education: I understand, from experience, the challenges our children, schools, and families face. By expanding the opportunities for skills training, and partnering with businesses we can work for excellence and accountability in our schools.
- Action: Constructive leadership will break the gridlock in Juneau. I have a reputation for building consensus and will be an effective representative for West Anchorage.
I will work to build a better quality of life for West Anchorage and would be honored to have your vote.
