The Kenai Peninsula is known for some of the best fishing in the world. From the mighty Kenai King Salmon on the Kenai river to the barn door size Halibut in Katchemak Bay. This is a fisherman's paradise!
This Halibut was caught off Ninilchik by Rhiannon. She had
the biggest fish of the day and the first fish of the day. And she was the only one who
limited out! Great going! The Kenai Peninsula is where Alaskans go for vacation. With some of the best fishing in the world. And such a variety of fish to catch. For the hardy fishing enthusiasts there is some great ice fishing and the many lakes around the peninsula. And fish aren't the only thing to catch, we have some great clamming beaches. During low tides razor clams are the catch of the day. In many other areas there are steamer clams for easy pickings, but you need a boat to get to them. |
