Thanks You!
Special thanks to Denise Carey, Steve Gordon and Teri Inch managing the Concessions at Senior Nationals on Monday and Tuesday. A huge number of parents donated food, money or worked out at the chalet: Steve Gordon, Teri Inch, Nora Shue, Ben Gordon, Lori Flynn, Denise Carey, Kerri Clark, Bob Clark, Dan Carey, Kristi Wallace, Eva Vischer, Cindy Lee, Kim Traxinger, Lyn Fink, Katy Grant, Laurie Ford, Kristin Jost, Julie Graham, and Barb Dubovich! This was a big fund raiser for the team and will help fund next year's expenses.
Thanks to Joanna Knapp for creating a team directory. This is a very helpful communication tool.
The many parent who helped the team at Lynx Loppet this weekend. Parents helped with the tent, heater, food, brushing skis, blankets and making sure the kids were dressed for the cold weather racing.
The special thanks to the Rineharts and BP-British Petroleum for donating $200 to the East High Booster Club! This will go directly to the skiers!
The special thanks to the Flynn family for setting up the team tent, sewing the tent bag, and helping support the team. Thanks to all the parents that brought snacks and the Inch family for hosting the team party.
Thanks to parents and skiers that helped with the Wooden Ski Classic fund raiser at Russian Jack Chalet. It looks like the Booster club raised $425! Thanks to Jason Bent, Dan, Denise, Brent and Rachel Carey, Alice, Christina, and Nathaniel Knapp, Sarah and Nora Shew-Wilson, Kirsten, Keith and Dan Jost, Karen, Blaine and Riley Bronga. Sharon and Steve Rinehart, Kathie and Kerri Clark, Ryan Lee, James Croft, Rebecca Farr, Connor Schur, and Scott Kugel.
Thanks to Dan and Brent Carey, with help from Buzz and Conner Schur, Cliff Reagle and Rick Wilson, we repaired 8 ski waxing tables in the ski room on Saturday.

Athletes are expected to provide their own ski equipment and outdoor clothing. A limited number of skis are available for skiers that need equipment. There is a fee of $25 for use of a set of school skis, boots, and poles.
Athlete Log books are very important to racing success. Skiers should record their daily workouts, time, activity, intensity, health and other comments. Skiers should record 6-12 hours of training per week.
Skiers should be base training this month. Skiing is a very demanding sport. Run, Roll, swim, bike, and ski 6-12 hours per week to be prepared for the winter ski season! Strength training in the East High weight room: Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 am
East High Cross Country Ski team is co-hosting the Wooden Ski Classic at Russian Jacket Chalet on November 23rd.
